Great effort tonight from everyone against a noisy Blackheath team. We fielded first and made a good start, keeping their run rate down. Too many extras gave the opposition an advantage, but we saw some wickets taken from several boys. All wickets were caught - great team work. Best catch reaction was from Shubh - he surprised himself and was delighted when he took a catch.

Even though we gave away a lot of extras, Blackheath actually gave away a lot more, but luckily for them, took all our wickets. A valiant fight till the end though.

Credit to Kaiden and Oscar for facing the first balls. Shout out to Freddie who was very vocal and encouraging throughout the match. Great fielding from Ayush who chased down balls and stopped those fours. Oliver had a knack of taking a wicket on his first ball of each over. Pranav surprised himself with his wicket - he would have taken two wickets if the bales had come off (I did ask the umpire if they were glued on?). Noah kept his cool when bowling and batting. Krish impressed me with his fielding and took a super catch. Jeynan was dependable on the field and bowled well. Good fight from Rocco at the end, as well as good keeping throughout.

Man of the match goes to Shubh for a great effort with bat and ball, and a super catch that he’ll never forget.
